How to backup Thunderbird on Windows?
If you use Thunderbird as an email client, you may have never thought of backing up not only your Thunderbird configuration, but also all your emails.

That's okay, we'll do it together. So don't worry, it's not complicated since you just have to display the hidden files under Windows and then go to the following directory:
C:\\Users\\NOM\\AppData\\Roaming\\Thunderbird\\Profiles\\NOM_PROFIL\\
And simply back up the profile folder which contains all the messages, preferences, contact book...etc.
Now if you are lazy, you can also use this free utility called BackupThunderbird which is able to automatically detect this folder and backup it for you to the location of your choice.

The icing on the cake is that you can even encrypt it with a small password for added security.
The tool also allows you to do the reverse procedure, i.e. restore a backup to find your Thunderbird from before.
It's simple, efficient. Just the way I like it.
